We’re excited to welcome our LD-25 State Assembly Candidates, Steve Pylypchuk and Marisa Sweeny, as our guest speakers. We’ll have the chance to hear directly from them about their vision and priorities for our district, and how we can get involved.

 School Funding Update

• “Save Our Schools” Petition:
  • 415 signatures submitted at the 5/6 Council Meeting for public record.
  • Called for the Borough to support school funding in the 2025 municipal budget.
    
• Council Update:
  • $850,000 committed from banked CAP/reserve funds to bridge the school funding gap.
  • This funding will allow for Mount Arlington Schools to:
    • Continue all extra-curricular activities
    • Retain most faculty for the 2025–2026 school year
  • However, a referendum will be required for the following school year.
  • Details on the referendum will follow soon.

  • Date: Tuesday, June 3
